Juliana Uribe Villegas is the founder and executive director of Movilizatorio, Purpose’s laboratory for citizen participation and social innovation for Colombia and Latin America. At Movilizatorio, Uribe Villegas and her team combine strategy, communication, technology, alliances, and research tools to mobilize key actors and sectors to strengthen collective leadership as a driving force for social transformation. Her projects include Diciendo y Haciendo, a Podcast on social transformation, and El Avispero, which has managed to link more than 90,000 people to its network and has reached more than 1 million people on social media.

Also in March 2020, Uribe Villegas co-founded the Colombia Cuida Colombia initiative, an alliance of more than 300 civil society organizations and the private sector to connect and mobilize people, organizations, foundations, companies, and government, to mitigate the negative impact of Covid-19.

Uribe Villegas has a Master’s in public administration from Harvard University and was Mason Fellow at the John F. Kennedy School of Government. She also has a Master’s in international relations from University of Barcelona. She has an economics degree from the Universidad de los Andes and speaks Spanish, English, and German.
