Juan Luis Font is a reporter from Guatemala with 25 years of experience, and current host of the news radio show, ConCriterio since 2017. He was co-founder of elPeriódico, A Primera Hora, ContraPoder and A las 8.45. He is self-described as “stubborn when it comes to covering politics and searching to understand and explain the country.” In March of 2022, he was forced to leave his home country of Guatemala after a series of investigations conducted by the Guatemalan government, and subsequent threats. In 2016, Font received the journalism award of the Latin America Studies Association (LASA).

Luis Font holds a master’s degree in journalism from Florida International University and a law degree from the University of San Carlos of Guatemala.
