Congressman Juan Ciscomani (R–AZ-6) serves Arizona’s 6th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Originally from Mexico, Ciscomani immigrated to the United States as a child and grew up in Tucson, Arizona, where his father worked as a bus driver. Raised in a working-class family, he developed a deep appreciation for hard work and perseverance.
Congressman Ciscomani attended public schools–Pima Community College and the University of Arizona–becoming the first in his family to graduate from college. He worked in various service roles to fund his education. Before entering Congress, he held positions at the University of Arizona and the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and later served as senior advisor to Governor Doug Ducey and vice-chair of the Arizona-Mexico Commission. His work focused on international trade, border security, diplomacy, and economic development.
Elected in 2022, Congressman Ciscomani became the first naturalized U.S. citizen from Mexico to represent Arizona in Congress. In 2024, he was named the most bipartisan member of Arizona’s House delegation by the Lugar Center and Georgetown University’s McCourt School Bipartisan Index.
Congressman Ciscomani was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
