José Henrique Bortoluci is a writer, sociologist, and professor. He holds a master’s degree in Social History from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Michigan. He is the author of O que é meu (What Is Mine), published in Brazil in 2023 and translated into 12 languages, and the recently released Geração Democracia (Generation Democracy) (Fósforo, 2026). He is a founding partner and director of Maranta, a think tank focused on democracy, climate, and international affairs.
