John McPhail

John McPhail has been the President & CEO at Partners of the Americas since 2017, a nonprofit network that connects people and organizations across the America’s to create lasting change. He brings over 25 years of leadership experience on numerous nonprofits and associations in the United States and Central America.

McPhail is the founder of LEAD, an organization dedicated to guiding and developing effective leadership. He was the president of Center for New Communities and served as country and regional director for Save the Children and Project Concern International. He has held leadership roles in other mission-driven organizations. His experience also includes coordinating multiple national and regional networks in Central America in health, water & sanitation and agriculture/food security.

McPhail has a BSc in civil engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master’s in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is fluent in Spanish.

McPhail was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
