John Beckham is managing director of the North American Development Bank, where he leads the institution’s work to support infrastructure and sustainable development in the U.S.-Mexico border region.

He was appointed by the NADBank Board of Directors in November 2023 and began his four-year term in January 2024, after serving as deputy managing director since January 2021. Before joining NADBank, Beckham spent 19 years at the Inter-American Investment Corporation, where he held senior roles including chief of debt, chief of equity, and managing director for clients. He also served as chief investment and operating officer at MicroVest.

With experience in international finance and development dating to 1991, his work has focused on promoting economic and social development through capital deployment to financial institutions, financing for renewable energy projects, restructuring distressed investments, and equity investments in mid-sized companies across emerging markets.

Beckham holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Ohio State University.
