Jean-Roch Lebeau is the director of Grupo Innovaterra and an associate urban researcher in Propuesta Urbana.

He has served as national director of land use and territorial development in Guatemala’s National Planning Agency (SEGEPLAN), where he directed the formulation of national policies and regional development plans. He was also part of the negotiation team representing Guatemala’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the COP22 Climate negotiations on the country’s commitments on climate change and urban development. He has also been an advisor to the Congress of the Republic of Guatemala.

Lebeau received a master’s degree in Land Management from the National School of Geographical Sciences in Paris.
