Irene Estefanía

Irene Estefanía was the senior manager of Institutional Development & External Relations at the Inter-American Dialogue until August 2021. She is now a consultant at the World Bank. She joined the Dialogue in 2016 as a program assistant in the Office of the President and later became its program strategy & communication associate. She previously worked as executive assistant to the Bureau Chief for El País in Washington, DC and as project assistant for the Latin American team at the National Democratic Institute (NDI).

Born in Spain, Irene studied at the Norway campus of the renowned United World Colleges. She graduated magna cum laude from Middlebury College, where she received a BA with a double major in Political Science and German. She is fluent in Spanish, English, German and Portuguese, and has working proficiency in French.
