Gustavo Lopetegui

Gustavo Lopetegui is a public accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Uade University in Buenos Aires and an MBA from Navarra University in Spain. Lopetegui started his career in the private sector in 1986 as a consultant with McKinsey in Spain, Portugal, the US, Brazil, and Argentina. He has since held several high-level private-sector positions, including founder and general manager of Eki Supermarkets, founder of Pampa Cheese, and more recently, CEO of LAN for Argentina. In the public sector he served as minister of production for Buenos Aires Province between 2004 and 2005. Between 2015 and 2019, under the presidency of Mauricio Macri, he has occupied several strategic positions, including secretary of public policies, advisor to the president and, since January 2019, secretary of energy.
