Gloria Vidal is a consultant for the European Union, the Organization of Ibero-American States, and several Ministries of Latin America. Vidal was vice-minister and minister of education of Ecuador. She was a teacher, director, and dean for more than 40 years in various educational institutions. Vidal was co-responsible for several initiatives such as the Ten-Year Education Plan and projects of significant impact in the education sector. She chaired the Inter-American Committee on Education of the OAS, the Ecuadorian National Commission of UNESCO, the Summit of Ministers of Education Andrés Bello, among other regional organizations. She was an ambassador of Ecuador to Argentina until August 2017.

Vidal is a secondary school teacher specializing in language and literature from Universidad Católica de Guayaquil and has a diploma in teaching skills from the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey. 

Vidal was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
