Giulia Branco Spiess is currently a senior program associate of the Brazil Program at the Inter-American Dialogue in Washington, DC. She is a policy and research professional with ten years of experience specializing in government relations, project management, and public policy. Previously, she was a program manager at the Brazil Institute of the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, D.C., where she led high-level policy dialogues and analysis on Brazil and U.S.–Brazil relations, engaging with senior stakeholders and donors in both countries. Before that, she spent nearly five years at Prospectiva Public Affairs Latam as a deputy manager, managing the team responsible for political and economic analyses for clients across various sectors, including prominent tech, pharmaceutical, and energy companies.
Spiess holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration and a minor in international relations from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), as well as a master’s in public administration (MPA) from Columbia University, where she focused on political and economic development and data analysis. A native of São Paulo, Brazil, she is fluent in Portuguese and English.
