Gianna Cunnazza was the executive director of the November 2023 Parapan American Games in Santiago, Chile and a pioneer as the first paralympic athlete to assume a directorial role in its planning. 

Cunnazza is a former Chilean handball player and former handball coach. She studied physical education pedagogy at the University of Santiago de Chile and was coach of the men’s handball team of the same university. In 2022, while developing as head of sports and Parapan American Integration at Santiago 2023, she was appointed by the Ministry of Sports as the new executive director of the event.
