Gene Nigro

Gene Nigro serves as the Vice President of Global Business Development at Remitly, the largest private digital remittance company headquartered in the United States transferring over $3 billion in annualized volume. Prior to joining Remitly, Gene was the Vice-President of Xoom Global Money Transfer and Vice-President for Latin America and the Caribbean. At Xoom, he was tasked with developing and implementing international strategic and tactical business development plans that were key to Xoom’s growth in the online money transfer business in the US. He holds a B.A. and M.A. in International Relations from the University of Delaware and a Masters in International Business from the University of Maryland College Park (1993).

Remitly is a member of the Remittance Industry Observatory.
