Francys Valdivia is President of Nicaragua’s Association of Mothers of April (AMA). The Association represents family members of those killed during the Ortega regime’s suppression of democracy in mid-2018. An emerging women’s rights advocate from a rural agricultural village in northern Nicaragua, Valdivia became the founding president of AMA following the extrajudicial killing of her brother.

Valdivia was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
