Francisco Urdinez is an assistant professor at the Political Science Institute of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and director of Chile’s Núcleo Milenio sobre los Impactos de China en América Latina (ICLAC). He received his PhD joint-degree from the University of São Paulo and King’s College London in the field of International Relations. Urdinez researches issues related to International Political Economy, with a focus on emerging powers, particularly Brazil and China. Before being appointed assistant professor in Chile, he was a scholar at the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and a researcher at CAENI.
