Francisco Morandi is the vice president of portfolio management and strategies in AES Corporation’s Global Renewables SBU. Since March 2022, he is also the chairman of the board for AES Brasil Energia. AES Brasil is a prominent renewable energy firm listed on the B3 Brazil Stock Exchange’s Novo Mercado segment. Before that, he has served in several AES senior corporate leadership positions in the US and Brazil, including leading the strategy and investment committee, coordinating relationships with global customers and transforming AES’ portfolio of investments in Brazil. He also served as CFO and vice president for investor relations for both AES Eletropaulo and AES Tiete, previously listed on São Paulo’s Bovespa Stock Exchange. Beginning his AES journey in Venezuela’s Electricidad de Caracas (EDC) after roles in banking and consulting, Morandi holds degrees from Universidad Metropolitana, Venezuela, and attended executive programs at both the University of Virginia and Georgetown University. Additionally, he’s on the board of the Brazil-US Business Council and a member of AES Colombia’s advisory board.
