Estefani Beltrán del Río is a humanitarian worker responding to crises related to human displacement in Mexico. She has worked with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) Mexico for over five years, where she has held leadership roles in projects focused on responding to and preventing gender-based violence. Currently, she is the senior protection coordinator, providing technical support in the design and implementation of projects focused on protecting children, women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and other people at risk. She also leads the IRC’s national safeguarding strategy for the prevention of sexual abuse and exploitation.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and digital media and a master’s degree in human rights, with a research thesis on deportation experiences.
