Eduardo José Sanz Lovatón is an accomplished attorney with over two decades of experience across the legal, diplomatic, and academic fields. He has built a distinguished career in both the public and private sectors, having served as director-general of customs of the Dominican Republic and a managing partner at Staff Legal. Sanz also held the diplomatic post of secretary at the Embassy of the Dominican Republic.
He is recognized for his strategic vision, conflict-resolution expertise, and compelling public speaking skills, which have played a key role in shaping public policy and advising leading companies on complex legal matters. Sanz received his education from prestigious institutions, including the Centre for Strategic and Diplomatic Studies in Paris and the Pontificia Universidad Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), equipping him with a deep understanding of international law and diplomatic relations.
Fluent in Spanish, English, and French, he is highly effective in multicultural and international environments. Sanz’s commitment to education is evident in his role as a university professor at both PUCMM and the Iberoamerican University in Santo Domingo, where he has mentored future generations of legal professionals.
In addition to his legal and academic contributions, Sanz has held leadership roles in political and social organizations, including serving as national finance secretary of the Modern Revolutionary Party and director of the First Board of Youth and Development.
