Diego Mesa Puyo

Diego Mesa Puyo is the deputy minister of energy of Colombia. Mesa is an economist with more than 15 years of experience advising governments and private sector clients on public policy and financial issues in energy and extractive industries. From 2013-2018, he was an economist in the Fiscal Affairs Department (FAD) of the IMF, where he led and participated in technical assistance missions to more than 20 countries on fiscal issues for mining and petroleum. Prior to the IMF, he was a manager and senior economist in the Consulting and Deals Practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Canada. Mesa holds an M.A. in Economics from McGill University and earned the CFA designation in 2012.

Mesa was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
