Devon Severson was the program assistant for the Office of the President & Special Projects. She received a BA from the University of Minnesota in Political Science and Global Studies with a concentration on human rights in Latin America and a minor in Spanish Studies. As an undergraduate, she catalogued forced and uninvestigated disappearances in Mexico with the Human Rights Program and researched the Inter-American Court of Human Rights as a Distinguished Undergraduate Research Intern. Prior to joining the Dialogue, she worked for the Human Rights Campaign. Severson is currently the part-time assistant editor for Contours of Activism, a publication on Cuban activism and social inclusion. An Iowa native, she has lived in Minnesota, Perú, and Puerto Rico.
