Denise Vaillant is the director of the Education Institute and the doctorate in the education program at Universidad ORT Uruguay. She is a Level III researcher of the National System of Researchers (SNI) of Uruguay and is a member of numerous boards of directors of academic journals, organizations, and foundations related to the educational field, such as the Honorary Commission of the SNI and the Board of Directors of Fundación CEIBAL. She held various positions of responsibility in the National Education Administration for Public Education in Uruguay and has been a visiting professor at numerous Latin American and European universities. She has also served as an advisor to several international organizations and is the author of articles and books on the subject of the teaching profession, educational reform, and innovation.

Vaillant holds a doctorate in education from the University of Québec à Montréal, Canada, and a master’s degree in educational planning and management from the University of Geneva, Switzerland.

Vaillant was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
