David Mauer serves as the development and partnerships manager at the Inter-American Dialogue in Washington, D.C. He is responsible for cultivating and sustaining relationships with key corporate, foundation, and individual partners, mobilizing the resources necessary to advance the Dialogue’s mission.
Prior to joining the Dialogue, Mauer collaborated with diverse funders to catalyze sustainable development, with a focus on the Americas. His work encompassed varied technical areas, from improved democratic governance to enhanced financial inclusion. Mauer also supported the implementation of international development programming, including a rule-of-law project in Mexico.
Mauer combines development experience with a passion for the Americas, which has permeated all aspects of his career and academic training. He holds an M.A. in Latin American studies from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Spanish and politics from Centre College.
