Gonzalez is an investigative journalist and editorial consultant of Ipys Venezuela. He was the director of the Investigative Unit of the El Nacional daily in Caracas, Venezuela.  Periodista de investigación y consultor editorial de Ipys Venezuela. He led the team that won Pedro Joaquín Chamorro prize of the Inter-American Press Association in 2013 and was part of the team that won the prize in 2016. He has twice led or formed part of reporting teams that have been nominated for the Gabriel García Márquez prize. He is part of the CONNECTAS editorial team.
