David Castrillón-Kerrigan is a research-professor at the School of Finance, Government, and International Relations of Universidad Externado de Colombia. His research interests center on the foreign policies of China and the United States, and their impact in Latin America. He also conducts research on foreign policy change and the use of strategic narratives. He has served in various roles in academia, government, and the private sector in Colombia and the United States. He is currently completing a doctorate in political studies on the role of historical memory in the change of Chinese foreign policy starting in 2012.
