Daniel Palacios is the minister of interior of Colombia. Palacios has a political science degree from the University of Florida and has a master’s degree in government with an emphasis in defense and national security from Harvard University, from where he also has a certificate in conflict resolution and negotiation. He has also served as vice minister of political relations and private secretary to former President Alvaro Uribe. In addition, he is a lieutenant in the National Army Reserve.
