Daniel Dorsainvil

Daniel Dorsainvil served as the Minister of the Economy and Finance of Haiti from 2006 to 2009. Since serving in that role he has provided his leadership skills and expertise in economics and finance to a range of evaluations for economic programs and projects. Dorsainvil was Director of the Monetary and Economic Analysis Section of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti between 1998 and 1999. Prior to returning to Haiti in 1997, he had served as a Research Assistant Professor at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and worked on research at the World Bank. Dorsainvil’s pro-bono work in Haiti include duties on boards of several institutions such as Fonkoze, Centre d’Art, and the Artisan Business Network.

Dorsainvil holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a MSc in Agricultural Economics from Rutgers University.

Dorsainvil was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
