Daira Arana Aguilar is the founder and director of Global Thought, a Mexican think tank working on international affairs and serves as a professor in Tecnológico de Monterrey, Universidad Anáhuac and Universidad Iberoamericana.
She holds a PhD in public policy for the School of Government and Public Transformation from Tec de Monterrey and fellow of the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies of University of California San Diego. Alumni of the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Studies in Defense of the National Defense University of the U.S., her research is focused in civil-military relations, hybrid regimes, democracy, and feminism in security issues.
