Cynthia Loría Picado has served as manager for Fundación AVINA’s Regional Migration Program for Latin America for over ten years, where she has led initiatives to promote social and labor inclusion among returned migrants, inclusive markets, education, climate change, and access to clean water. 

 She has also been a monitoring advisor for the Danish International Development Agency’s Regional Environmental Program in Central America. 

Loría holds a master’s in Rural Development from Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica and a master’s in Public Management and Leadership from Guatemala’s Universidad Nacional y Escuela de Gobierno.
