Chinua Alleyne is the current mayor of Port of Spain, having assumed the role in August 2023. Before becoming mayor, he served as chairman of the Board of Directors of East Port of Spain Development Company Limited.

Alleyne is an alumnus of Queen’s Royal College and the University of Leeds. He is a trained and certified project manager, business development consultant, and health management and administration professional. Academically, he holds a master of arts in health management, planning, and policy, as well as an ACCA certificate in public financial management, among other professional qualifications.
