Carolina Leyton Faúndez is the head of the department of instrument design and studies at the Agencia de Calidad de la Educación in Chile. She specialized in educational research and measurement, an area in which she has worked for more than 10 years. In her role, Leyton Faúndez contributed to the development of questionnaires which are used annually in conjunction with the national Simce assessment, enabling the evaluation of personal and social development indicators. In addition, she led the creation of socioemotional evaluation instruments for the Integrated Learning Diagnostic assessment implemented in Chile during the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Leyton Faúndez is a sociologist and has a master’s in education from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
