Carlos Eduardo Huertas

Director and leader of the CONNECTAS editorial team, as well as leader of the Investigative Journalism Initiative of the Americas, a project in collaboration with the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ). For over a year until July 2013 Huertas was the investigative editor for the Semana magazine of Colombia. He is a member of the Directorial Committee of the Global Investigative Journalist Network (GIJN) and of the International Consortium for Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). In 2006 he managed the  En 2006 he managed the Consejo de Redacción, a Colombian organization that promotes investigative journalism.

Huertas founded CONNECTAS, a project he initiated as a Nieman Fellow in 2012 at Harvard University with funding from the Knight Foundation. 

Huertas was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
