Antero Alvarado is a managing partner and director at the energy consulting firm Gas Energy Latin America, where he focuses on oil and natural gas, particularly in Venezuela and Colombia. He also works as a professor at the IESA School of Business in Caracas.
He obtained his MA in Energy Economics at the French Institute of Petroleum in 2007.
Alvarado is a frequent commentator for the Latin America Advisor.
