Andrés Bórquez is an assistant professor and director of the Master’s Program in Asian Studies at the Universidad de Chile and editor of the Latin American Journal of Asian Studies. He holds a PhD in international politics from Fudan University and a Master’s degree in social studies from the University of Paris. His main research interests are China’s strategic alliances with Latin America and Chile’s foreign policy in the Asia-Pacific region. Bórquez has published in China Review, China: An International Journal, and Pacific Focus, among other journals.

Bórquez was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
