Ana María Nieto is an early childhood senior programme specialist at the LEGO Foundation. Between 2016 and 2018 she held the position of early childhood director at the Ministry of Education in Colombia.

Previously, she worked as editor of the Harvard Educational Review and on different research groups at Harvard, Yale, NYU and Los Andes universities, in projects focusing on early childhood public policy, interventions to improve educational quality, violence prevention, and promoting family engagement in Colombia, Peru, Chile, Guatemala and the United States.

Nieto is a psychologist and anthropologist from Los Andes university, and holds a masters and doctorate in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Nieto was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
