Ana Kourchenko joined the Inter-American Dialogue in February 2025 and currently serves as a program associate in the Mexico Program.
Prior to joining the Dialogue, Kourchenko led the Mexico chapter of the Institute of Integrated Transitions (IFIT), where she worked at the intersection of democratic transitions and peacebuilding. Her work focused on advancing a national peacebuilding policy tailored to Mexico’s evolving political and security landscape. Kourchenko brings over five years of experience in coordinating social impact projects, managing multidisciplinary teams, and advancing advocacy and international cooperation efforts. Her expertise spans critical global issues including peacebuilding, justice, human rights, sustainability, polarization, and development policy. She has a strong background in research, knowledge production, and stakeholder engagement, and has collaborated with a wide range of actors—including civil society, international organizations, and government agencies—across Latin America and beyond.
She holds a Master’s degree in governance, development, and public policy from the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex, and a Bachelor’s degree in international relations from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, with a specialization in global politics. Fluent in Spanish, English, German, and Italian, Kourchenko excels at building relationships and fostering dialogue across cultures and sectors.
