Ana Covarrubias has been a Professor-Researcher at the Center for International Studies of El Colegio de México since 1995. She was director of the Center from 2012 to 2017. She teaches international relations theory, the international relations of Latin America, and U.S. and Canadian foreign policy. Her recent publications include Routledge Handbook of Latin America in the World (co-edited with Jorge Domínguez; Routledge, 2015), “México en la reconfiguración de América Latina” (Pensamiento Propio, 2016), “La política de México hacia América Latina en el siglo XI: ¿Congruencia y legitimidad?” (Estudios Internacionales, 2017), and “In Search of International Influence: Mexico as an Entrepreneurial Power” (with Jorge A. Schiavon; International Journal, 2018). Covarrubias holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford.
