Alain Ize is an Adjunct Professor in the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University. Prior to joining Columbia, he worked for the World Bank as a Senior Consultant for the Latin American and the Caribbean and the Financial and Private Sector Vice-Presidencies; as an Area Chief for the Monetary and Capital Markets Department of the International Monetary Fund and Senior Economist for the Fiscal Affairs Department of the same institution; as an Economist for the Research Division of the Banco de Mexico; and as Chair of the Economics Department of El Colegio de México. He holds a PhD from Stanford University and an MBA from Columbia University.
