The suspension of in-person classes in response to the Covid-19 public health emergency has had a notable and urgent effect on teacher wellbeing. The current remote learning situation, with its inherent challenges, has only increased the demands that teachers face. A year into the pandemic, teachers are confronting burn-out and emotional strain.
This webinar aims to focus on the affective experience of teachers in Latin America during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as share evaluation instruments and other tools for understanding their socio-emotional state in this particular context. Understanding and measuring the impact of the pandemic on teacher wellbeing is critical in order to address these concerns now and better prepare for an eventual return to in-person learning.
This event will present a variety of experiences from across Latin America using different evaluations and interventions to measure teacher wellbeing and identify best practices for diverse actors in the education sector, including civil society, to support teachers and their work in the classroom.
This is the third webinar in an event series on evaluation and civil society.
