Inclusive and equitable education must be supported by a comprehensive support and care system that allows for the full participation of girls and boys with disabilities. In this webinar, co-organized by the Inter-American Dialogue (IAD) and UNICEF LACRO, we will explore how technology can play a key role in creating educational environments that, in addition to being accessible, provide the necessary support to ensure that all students have the same opportunities for learning and development.

Technology may not only facilitate access to education but also allow for creating a support system that responds to the diverse needs of students, particularly those in vulnerable situations. In this context, technological tools must be understood as part of a broader approach to care that encompasses both the educational and social dimensions. This comprehensive system is essential to promote effective inclusion, as it ensures that each student receives the appropriate resources and support throughout their school career.

The dialogue on technological innovation in education goes beyond the tools. It is about how these technologies can be integrated into a broader support system that fosters equity. During the webinar, we will feature the participation of public, private, and non-governmental sector experts in inclusive education, technology, and public policies, who will discuss how access to accessible platforms, the design of support infrastructures, and the implementation of inclusive policies can have a real impact on the lives of children with disabilities. This comprehensive approach not only improves the educational experience but also strengthens their inclusion in society, allowing progress toward greater equity.

Join us on Thursday, October 24, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM EDT to explore the intersections between technology and inclusive education.
