Join us for the launch webinar of the “Guide of Good Practices for the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Children on the Move in the Americas,” jointly hosted by the Inter-American Dialogue (IAD) and the Organization of American State’s Department of Social Inclusion.

The launch webinar will present good practice cases based on the recently published Guide that showcases 11 experiences for the comprehensive development, well-being, and protection of the rights of children and adolescents on the move. Each case will address the context of implementation, challenges, lessons learned, and recommendations for replication in a wide range of areas, such as social protection, education, health, migration personnel training and awareness, measures against trafficking and smuggling, protection of unaccompanied children and family reunification, information and data collection, and solutions to the lack of documentation, among others.

This webinar offers a unique opportunity for a knowledgeable audience to gain valuable insights and inspiration into translating international and inter-American child protection frameworks into concrete and meaningful actions. Participants will understand the implications of good practice cases and explore each one’s implementation context while gaining practical recommendations on adapting such initiatives to other contexts. Thus, the webinar will be a valuable session for those involved in policy-making, program implementation, civil society groups, and research in childhood protection and development and migration issues.

Join us on Wednesday, February 26, from 2 PM to 3:30 PM ET to explore good practice cases in safeguarding the rights of migrant children and adolescents in the Americas.
