Across Latin America and the Caribbean, hundreds of civil society organizations are working to respond to the migration crisis, providing support and protection to children and young people on the move—many of whom are exposed to rights violations and other vulnerabilities.
It is clear that civil society alone cannot address all urgent needs. However, when acting in a coordinated manner, it can build networks, exchange knowledge and experiences, foster consensus, and promote truly collective efforts that contribute to the overall well-being of children.
With the goal of fostering this dialogue, the Inter-American Dialogue, in partnership with the Eugenio Mendoza Foundation and with support from Fundación FEMSA, will hold the webinar “Child Migration in Latin America: The Role of Civil Society” on December 2 at 10:00 a.m. (ET).
The discussion will explore the challenges that civil society faces, its role in protecting children on the move, and how we can strengthen and promote network-based collaboration across the region.
Join us on Tuesday, December 2, from 10:00 a.m. ET to 11:30 a.m. ET, to engage with key actors in this regional ecosystem.
