Having systems for measuring childhood development is fundamental for the formulation of plans and programs of action in the region that will make it possible for every country to be more efficient in resource management. The Regional Network to Measure Childhood Development (REMDI) is a regional network of specialists that seeks to promote and facilitate current and future surveying efforts so that all Latin American countries have clear, technically sound mechanisms for evaluating childhood development at the national level which allows for comparisons between countries as well as between population subgroups within a country.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the need for timely information on the status of early childhood development in the countries of the region has become essential to make informed decisions and respond to possible learning losses that have resulted from this crisis.
This conference, convened by REMDI, will present the work that the network has spearheaded in the last two years while exploring the advances made in measuring early childhood development in the region. This event will be held over the course of two days on September 29 and 30, 2021.
Follow this event on Twitter at #ConferenciaREMDI and @PrealEd.
We invite participants to send questions through the Q&A function on Zoom.
This event will be held in Spanish.
