As Mexico advances, energy will play a critical role in the country’s future. It will power homes and businesses, drive economic growth and innovation, and help Mexico secure the benefits of the nearshoring wave. However, the upcoming elections in Mexico between Xóchitl Gálvez and Claudia Scheinbaum offer two different visions on Mexico’s energy future.

To learn more about Senator Xóchitl Gálvez’s energy vision and policy priorities, the Inter-American Dialogue invited Rosanety Barrios Beltrán, one of Mexico’s foremost energy experts, for a private conversation.
