Cuba is in one of the most uncertain and consequential periods in its recent history. The island faces a deepening crisis marked by severe energy shortages, collapsing infrastructure and mounting frustration with the country’s failed political and economic model.
At the same time, Washington is seeing renewed debate on the most effective U.S. policy towards Cuba and how best to encourage political and economic transition on the island.
Against this backdrop, the coming months could prove pivotal for Cuba’s internal trajectory and the future of U.S.-Cuba relations.
Join the Inter-American Dialogue on Tuesday, June 9 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM ET for an in-person discussion on the rapidly evolving political and economic situation in Cuba, the state of U.S-Cuba relations, and what may lie ahead for the Cuban people and policymakers in Washington.
