On Monday, July 13, the Inter-American Dialogue hosted a roundtable discussion with Zhu Qingqiao, the new director general of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs in the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who was visiting Washington to lead the 2015 US-China Sub-Dialogue on Latin America. Participants included a select group of experts on China-Latin America relations, as well as representatives from the Chinese delegation and US State Department. The meeting was off-the-record.
