In 2015, Colombia enters a critical phase in the effort undertaken by President Juan Manuel Santos to end the country’s longstanding armed conflict. Minister Pinzón will share his thoughts about the role of Colombia’s armed forces and national police in the peace process, as well as the post-conflict scenario. Appointed Defense Minister by President Santos in 2011 after serving as vice minister, Pinzón will engage in a wide-ranging exchange with participants following his opening remarks.
