Sofía Corzo is an intern at the Inter-American Dialogue’s Rule of Law Program. A senior at Harvard University, she studies Social Studies, an interdisciplinary concentration which involves Government, Sociology, History, Economics, and Anthropology, with a focus field on human rights and transitional justice in Latin America.
Claudia Escobar is a Centennial Fellow in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and a former magistrate of the Court of Appeals of Guatemala.
Edgar Villanueva is the co-executive director of the US – Guatemala Business Council. He is responsible for the Council’s management and initiatives. He is also a part of its Board of Directors. Villanueva was an event speaker at the Dialogue.
Frank La Rue is the Advocacy and Human Rights Director at Fundamedios and the former UN Special Rapporteur on the Promotion and Protection for the Right to Freedom of Opinion and Expression.
Mario López is a partner with Millicom International Celular, a company through which he has achieved a 58% participation in the Guatemalan telecommunications market with 11 million clients. López holds a Civil Engineering degree from the University of San Carlos de Guatemala.
Ralón is the candidate for the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights put forth by the government of Guatemala.
