As the impacts of climate change mount worldwide, the countries of Central America’s Northern Triangle (El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras) face disproportionate exposure to catastrophic storms and other threats such as drought and food insecurity. In response to this challenge, the Inter-American Dialogue’s Task Force on Climate Change in the Northern Triangle was convened to inform a series of policy reports. These outline the effects of climate change on key sectors and vulnerable communities and provide recommendations for US assistance to support sustainable, locally led climate adaptation in the region. In this webinar, a presentation of the reports’ findings will be followed by a panel discussion with task force members.
