      Socioeconomic School Segregation in Chile

We recommend a recent paper published in the Journal of Education Policy, “Socioeconomic school segregation in a market-oriented educational system: The case of Chile.”

The authors, Juan Pablo Valenzuela, Cristian Bellei, and Danae de los Ríos, conclude that socioeconomic school segregation is high in Chile, has increased slightly over the past decade, and is due in part to market dynamics operating in the education system.
