The Gates Foundation recently released the final report of a three-year study designed to determine how best to identify and develop great teaching.
The study concludes that the best way to evaluate teacher effectiveness is to use a three-pronged approach that combines improvement in student test scores, classroom observations by multiple reviewers, and teacher evaluations from students themselves.
